Former Real Madrid striker Davor Suker believes has Kylian Mbappe has a passion to play for Real Madrid, but doesn’t confess to knowing anything about any deal between Madrid and PSG.

Through his early years at Monaco and now his time with PSG, Mbappe has developed into one of the most devastating attackers in world football, and at just 21-years-old, has the majority of his career ahead of him.

The World Cup winner joined PSG in the summer of 2017 initially on loan with the obligation to buy for a whopping £131m [€145m].

  • However, there has been continued links between Mbappe and Real Madrid, with the Frenchman a known fan of Madrid, and former Los Blancos striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

For Suker, who won the Champions League with Madrid in 1998, there is no doubt that Mbappe has a “passion” to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“There is a lot of money now in football, but if there is no hunger the player will never succeed,” the Croatian told beIN Sports France.

“You have to look for a player who is hungry and I think [Kylian] Mbappe has that desire needed to play for Real Madrid.”

“I am not a representative and I can only talk about what the player transmits to me.”

Any deal that would see Mbappe join Real Madrid is likely to be influenced by a transfer merry-go-round of players this summer involving the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Paul Pogba.

In 11 starts in the 2020/21 campaign, he has contributed to 16 goals via 10 scored himself plus 10 assists over Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

FootballTransfers recently looked at the probability of a move to Real Madrid compared to Mbappe signing a new contract with PSG. At the moment, both scenarios are plausible.
