Real Madrid receive €130m Vinicius Jr offer
Real Madrid reportedly expect to receive a €130 million offer for Vinicius Junior “in the coming hours.”
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit in recent months, amid ongoing contract negotiation talks, and clubs in Saudi Arabia retain a strong interest in the Brazil international.
Reports speculate that Vinicius Jr is likely to move to the Saudi Pro League at some point in the next three years and Defensa Central now claim that Real Madrid are preparing to receive a €130m offer for the winger from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.
Despite this, Real Madrid reportedly have no intention of allowing Vinicius to depart before Transfer Deadline Day and they are eager to help the Brazilian return to the performance levels he displayed during the 2023-24 season.
Vinicius has also been linked with a blockbuster transfer to the Premier League in recent weeks, however Real Madrid are seemingly keen to retain his services this summer, despite the fact his current contract is due to expire in 2027.
What has Xabi Alonso said about Vinicius Jr?
Vinicius Jr was named on the substitutes bench during Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Real Oviedo on Sunday and Xabi Alonso explained his decision to remove the Brazilian from the starting XI during his post-match press conference.
“Everyone is different, and you have to demand respect, and the relationship is a little different,” Alonso said. “In football, decisions are made with the team in mind; you have to understand things, and that was the case today.
“The substitutions from game to game depend on what we need in terms of workload and opponent. I haven't made any decisions for next month.
“It's important for people to feel important, ready, and ready for the next game. It's important to maintain a stable performance as a team. It was a game to see that we continue to grow. After Tuesday against Osasuna, we've grown today, and we want to continue like this.”
