Barcelona looking to sign Arsenal outcast as Dest replacement

Barcelona are set to have a busy transfer window and in addition to letting players go, they could have a few joining Xavi’s side at the Camp Nou.
The club are working hard on a deal for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso and could get a deal done with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going the other way.
There could be another full-back arriving from London on deadline day as well, as Barcelona are in talks with Arsenal over the signing of Hector Bellerin.
The Spanish right-back has previously been a target for Barcelona but a move has never materialized, however, things could happen for both parties now.

Bellerin is on the fringes at Arsenal having spent last season on loan at Real Betis and hasn’t featured for his club this season, with chances of a future at the Gunners looking very slim.
It’s reported by Cadena Ser that Barcelona are in talks with Arsenal over the deal and that Matheu Alemany – the Blaugrana’s transfer chief – is in contact with the player’s representatives.
Barcelona will sign Bellerin on a free transfer as Arsenal will terminate the right-back’s contract at the club, similar to what they did with Aubameyang on deadline day in the January transfer window earlier this year.

Bellerin’s camp are optimistic over a deal being completed as well and there are signals he could well become a Barcelona player by the end of the night.
Bellerin had an impressive season in La Liga last time around, becoming a mainstay with the Real Betis team and being part of the Copa del Rey success they enjoyed in April.
Other than Bellerin, Barcelona have also been in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of Thomas Meunier, and plan to reinforce adequately at right-back.
They are set to let go of Sergino Dest, who is set for Milan in Serie A, while they wish to use Jules Kounde and Ronald Aruajo at centre-back instead of the right side.
