How every Barcelona player on loan is performing this season
Barcelona's recent transfer policy hasn't exactly been successful. Hundreds of millions has been spent, but the reward simply hasn't been as expected.
The club have been put into a financial crisis due to their transfer decisions, and only thanks to Gerard Pique taking a pay cut can they register their summer signings.
They have been forced to sell several stars, while Lionel Messi left the club for free after they couldn't afford to register his new contract.
Along with letting players leave on permanent deals, the club have also loaned out a few in order to gain first-team football, and save Barcelona some money on wages.
How many players do Barcelona have out on loan?
Unlike Chelsea, for example, who have a plethora of players out on loan this season, Barcelona only have four.
Where is each Barcelona player on loan?
Francisco Trincao - Wolves
Rey Manaj - Spezia
Antoine Griezmann - Atletico Madrid
Miralem Pjanic - Besiktas
How are they performing?
Francisco Trincao (Wolves): He has started every league game so far this season for Wolves, and has looked decent in wide areas. He's been outshone by Adama Traore, but is still adapting to the league, which will take time. He also netted a League Cup goal against Nottingham Forest.
Rey Manaj (Spezia): Yet to make his debut.
Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid): Griezmann made his second debut for Atletico against Espanyol and played only 59 minutes. They were 1-0 down at the time, but came back to win 2-1 with Griezmann off the pitch. It wasn't a dream second coming at Atleti.
Miralem Pjanic (Besiktas): He made his debut against Yeni Malatyaspor, and although he was carded, he managed to grab an assist in a 3-0 win. A strong start for the outcast midfielder.
