The January transfer window is undoubtedly kicking into gear with some of the very best players in European football being linked with dramatic moves away from their clubs.

Perhaps the most recent and obvious example of this is Vinicius Jr, who has recently found his name linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

According to El Nacional, the Brazilian has been earmarked as an ideal replacement to Kylian Mbappe by PSG, while Man Utd are seemingly always intent on spending big money on yet another wide player.

Such news will undoubtedly be met with a skeptical eyebrow from Carlo Ancelotti and fans of the Spanish club, who have happily witnessed Vinicius Jr’s best spell at the club since joining from Flamengo in 2018.

Indeed, so far this season the wide forward has bagged no less than 10 goals and seven assists in 18 games for Madrid and certainly gives the impression that he’s perfectly content in the Spanish capital.

How much would Vinicius Jr cost?

Of course, money often has a way of turning the head of even the most in-form players and there’s no doubt that Madrid would consider selling the inconsistent youngster at a certain price.

However, having signed Vinicius Jr in 2018 for no less than €45 million and with a contract at the club until 2024, the attacking talent certainly wouldn’t come cheap.

As such, according to FootballTransfers own algorithm of player values, the Real Madrid star is currently worth €82 million and could cost as much as €103 million if PSG or Man Utd were desperate on signing him in January or the following transfer window.

While both clubs are capable of spending that kind of money on star players, it seems highly unlikely that this transfer rumour will ever come to fruition.
