Liverpool will target West Ham attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus this summer if Mohamed Salah leaves for the riches of the Saudi Pro League.

In the summer of 2023, Salah was the subject of a mammoth €175 million bid from Al-Ittihad, the club that signed such stars as Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante in the same transfer window.

Liverpool rejected the bid, even though Salah was reportedly keen on the move.

Should the Egyptian push harder for a move this summer, Liverpool face the tough task of having to replace him.

The Reds have been linked with several wingers including Yeremy Pino of Villarreal and Johan Bakayoko of PSV, but Kudus has now emerged as a target, according to Fichajes.

The Ghanaian hasn't even been at West Ham for a full season as he joined from Ajax last summer for €43m but is already being linked with bigger clubs due to his impressive performances this campaign.

In 34 starts for the Hammers this season he has scored 13 goals and recorded four assists. His performances in the Europa League have been instrumental in West Ham reaching the quarter-final stage, though they face a tough task in progressing to the semis by overcoming Leverkusen on Thursday.

Will Salah leave Liverpool this summer?

Former Liverpool favourite Jose Enrique believes Salah has already agreed to leave Liverpool this summer.

“If the right offer comes then I think Salah will leave because I think he was actually trying to leave last summer,” the Spaniard previously told Grosvenor Sport.

“They were offered something like £200 million for him last summer and that was a real offer!

“When you get an offer like that, usually it means there is already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to go and I believe that he will finally go to Saudi Arabia this summer.”

“Jurgen Klopp is leaving so it is the perfect time for Salah to go. There is a new cycle happening at Liverpool and lots of changes, so it is perfect for him. This will likely be the final big contract of his career, so I think he’ll leave for Saudi Arabia.”
