Manchester United will take heavy measures to sell unwanted duo Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek in January, with the asking price for both players reportedly set to be slashed in the hopes of attracting bids from interested teams.

Neither player has featured for Erik ten Hag in the last three months, with Van de Beek falling down the pecking order and Sancho still exiled after his fallout with the United boss.

United will be hoping to strengthen in January if Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment into the club is completed in the coming weeks but they will also need to sell players, having spent more than €200 million in the summer.

Sancho and Van de Beek are the most likely players to be allowed to leave and CorriereDelloSport in Italy has stated that both outcasts are wanted by Juventus, who could push for a double deal in January.

Juve have long admired Sancho but United have, up until now, been looking to recoup as much of the €85m they paid for the 23-year-old in 2021, however the Italian outlet claim that the ex-Dortmund man could be allowed to leave for just €30m due to his situation.

And Van De Beek could also be targeted by Juve in a free loan move with an option to buy as the Italian side seek cover for suspended midfielders Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Van de Beek admits he may leave United in January

Van De Beek only made 10 appearances in all competitions under Ten Hag last season but the 26-year-old has found himself further on the fringes this year, playing just two minutes in the Premier League.

The Dutchman spoke about his future last month, admitting he would look to leave for first-team football in January if things don’t change, telling the Mirror: ''I am bouncing to play matches again. The manager is making different choices now. We have a big squad and I am not the only one knocking on the door.

“We'll see in January what happens. I need to start playing games very soon - if not at Man United then at another club. I think I have to be ambitious.”

Sancho, meanwhile, came off the bench in United’s first three games of the season but has not featured since after criticising Ten Hag on social media and refusing to apologise, leading to his isolation from the first team.
