Arsenal will have to pay €69 million (£60m) in order to meet Wolves’ demands for Pedro Neto.

That is according to football journalist Fraser Fletcher, who reports that Arsenal will have to pay a huge fee in order to sign the Portuguese winger.

The Gunners are looking for an alternative to star attacker Bukayo Saka as if the Englishman is missing then there is no natural replacement on the right wing.

Neto has emerged as Arsenal’s favoured option to be Saka’s backup in 2024.

The 23-year-old when fully fit is an electric winger who is capable of playing on both wings. He recently enjoyed a fantastic performance in the win against Manchester City, causing Nathan Ake all kinds of problems.

FootballTransfers reported back in April that the Gunners were ready to move for Neto as they sought a player who could ease Saka’s workload.

We understand that Neto was a top target for manager Mikel Arteta during the summer of 2022 and the Spaniard is ready to revisit his interest in the 23-year-old.

In 2022, Neto also revealed that he was an Arsenal fan growing up, which helped fuel further reports of a move to the Emirates.

What clubs are interested in Pedro Neto?

Arsenal are not the only major Premier League club interested in Neto.

FootballTransfers also reported earlier this month that Liverpool have added Neto to their list of possible replacements for Mohamed Salah in 2024.

Salah could leave next year amidst strong interest from Saudi Arabia.

Neto joined Wolves from Braga in 2019. After a fine first season he had two injury prone campaigns. But he has been in fantastic form so far in 2023-24.
