Frank Lampard has been blasted for not picking Mykhailo Mudryk against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The interim boss opted not to give the Ukrainian any minutes against Steve Cooper’s men at Stamford Bridge. Fans have been desperate to have the winger earn some minutes in what is essentially a dead-rubber for the Blues - they cannot earn a spot in Europe and they will not be relegated this season.

Mudryk signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract from Shakhtar Donetsk for an initial transfer fee of fee of €70million, potentially rising to €100m add-ons. But it has not been smooth sailing for the winger - with the player failing to hit the high notes so far.

Lampard left him on the bench as Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Forest, who are battling relegation.

Mudryk out of action

But this decision has left a lot of Blues fans frustrated, saying that their club legend should really be making use of Mudryk, who has shown glimmers of sparkle since arriving in the winter window. One fan, venting online, even called the move by Lampard ‘disgusting’ - and they weren’t the only ones to rage.
