Thursday was another busy day of football transfer news, headlined by the announcement of Antonio Rudiger’s transfer to Real Madrid from Chelsea.

Real Madrid announce Rudiger deal
It’s been an open secret for several weeks that Antonio Rudiger would join Real Madrid under the freedom of contract laws from Chelsea. It was announced today that he has signed a three-year deal with the Bernabeu club.
The news was greeted with pleasure from the Real Madrid support and muted disappointment from Chelsea fans, who could understand the player’s reasons for moving on.
Lewandowski to Barcelona transfer latest
While Rudiger is wrapped up, the saga of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona if showing few signs of concluding – although new reports suggest that he may be willing to put a deadline on the move.
