Could Man Utd, Barca or Madrid entice Gnabry away from Bayern Munich in the summer?

As is often the case, Bayern Munich had much of their hard work and preparations done long before the January transfer window opened at the turn of the year.
While other clubs were chasing top strikers and desperately trying to flog overpaid stars elsewhere, Bayern were popping the champagne and patting themselves on the back.

Indeed, on January 12, the German giants announced that Kingsley Coman had just signed a new contract extension with the club and despite months of speculation to the contrary, he would not be departing for the Premier League.
However, with one issue out of the way, another has since arisen in Munich and according to Sky Sports Germany, the club are now stuck in some tricky negotiations with another star forward, Serge Gnabry.
Why hasn’t he extended his Bayern deal yet?
Like Coman before him, Bayern are desperate to sign Gnabry up to a new contract before his current one expires in 2023. However, there are now added complications.
While Gnabry is a valued member of Julian Nagelsmann’s squad and reportedly wants to stay at the club, he also now has two players of similar talent in identical positions that he would undoubtedly compare himself to: Coman and Leroy Sane.
This, apparently, poses a problem for Bayern because the former Arsenal winger is adamant that he should be rewarded with a similar deal to his aforementioned team mates, who both now take home at least €15 million per year.
As such, a new deal will seemingly come down to how much Bayern value Gnabry’s talent and whether they believe he is as good as Sane and Coman.
Could he leave Bayern?
While Gnabry remains in good form for Bayern and is showing no signs of being disgruntled by contract negotiations, interest from clubs abroad could put his financial struggles with the club into context.
According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool are all keeping a close eye on the player’s contract situation and could act this summer or indeed the year after if he decides to depart the club.
Although Bayern rarely lose players they want to keep, Niklas Sule’s recent decision to leave the club for free at the end of this season underlines just how precarious a player’s outlook can be and how quickly they can change their mind.
