The 2022 summer transfer window is now in full swing, with several big deals having already been completed.

Two €100 million transfers have already been done this summer, with Aurelien Tchouameni sold by Monaco to Real Madrid for that figure before Darwin Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica.

The spending has just started, though, with around 10 weeks of the window remaining.

Many big clubs are looking to get their business done early, though, and here are five huge deals that could be completed in the next week or so.

Romelu Lukaku

  • From: Chelsea
  • To: Inter
  • Fee: Loan

Romelu Lukaku’s record move from Inter to Chelsea has fallen flat and so, less than a year after he jumped ship to move to Stamford Bridge, he is returning to San Siro. It is a deal that would appear to suit everyone. Chelsea will get a big earner off their books while Inter will be able to secure a player who has previously thrived for them. The Nerazzurri need to get a deal over the line by 30 June to benefit from a tax reduction in his salary, so look for this to be completed swiftly.

Fabio Vieira

  • From: Porto
  • To: Arsenal
  • Fee: €45m

Arsenal’s main priority this summer may well be reinforcing their attacking options, but they also need to strengthen their midfield and it is for that reason that Porto’s Fabio Vieira is arriving. The 22-year-old has been on the radar of a number of Premier League sides for a lengthy period of time and enjoyed a smashing season with in Portugal, where he supplied 14 assists in just 15 matches. He looks like an excellent addition to the Gunners’ ranks. Only the formalities of this deal need tidied up.

Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are also set to complete a move for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, who is set to be the biggest victim of the arrival of Erling Haaland to the Etihad Stadium. There is still wrangling over the fee, so this transfer might not be completed quite as quickly as some of the others, but the Gunners are still bullish over the prospect of getting the Brazil international in rapidly. It would mark a very promising start to the transfer window if it got over the line.

Sadio Mane

  • From: Liverpool
  • To: Bayern Munich
  • Fee: €50m

Bayern Munich will continue to evolve in attack with the arrival of Sadio Mane from Liverpool. The clubs are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for the 30-year-old Senegal international, who has just one year of his contract left an Anfield. The tough negotiating style of the Anfield club appears to have secured a €50m fee for the frontman, who has been tipped as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. While his arrival may pave the way to a sale for the Pole, he will certainly not be a like-for-like change.

Calvin Ramsay

    From: Aberdeen

    To: Liverpool

    Fee: €8m (£6.5m)

Liverpool’s third signing of the summer is on the horizon, with 18-year-old full-back Calvin Ramsay set to sign a five-year deal with the Anfield side to become the long-term understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Dons are set to recoup a club record £4.5m up front for the powerful youngster, who is a rare example of a young player from the Scottish Premiership going to a leading English club without an intermediate step.
