Manchester United are expected to have a quiet deadline day after confirming the signing of Antony for £85.4 million, with outgoings likely to be the focus before the window closes.

Antony's arrival takes United's total spending this window to more than £200m, with Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia and Casemiro all having joined during the summer.

United splashed the cash after a dismal start to the season which saw them lose their opening two games and their business has seen the club's budget all but depleated.

It means that, aside from potential loan arrivals, United will largely be looking to sell fringe players to clear the wage bill, as well as trying to keep hold Cristiano Ronaldo.

Martin Dubravka

The likely sole incoming for United on deadline day will be Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, who is expected to sign on loan with a buy option of around £6m.

The 33-year-old is set to provide competition for David de Gea after Dean Henderson joined Nottingham Forest on loan earlier in the summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The future of Ronaldo has been one of the biggest talking points of the summer after the Portuguese legend demanded to leave United in search of Champions League football.

Erik ten Hag has insisted the player will remain at the club after no significant bids came in for him but reports have suggested a loan offer from Napoli is still on the table as a 'last chance' opportunity for Ronaldo to leave.

James Garner

United are expected to raise some money through the sale of James Garner, with the midfielder on course to join Everton for £15m.

The 21-year-old had 10 assists and four goals on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Championship last season and United will likely have a buy-back clause in any sale.

Tahith Chong

Another player that could be leaving United is Tahith Chong, with the midfielder expected to join Birmingham before the deadline, although West Brom have also made a late attempt to sign him.

The 22-year-old impressed on loan for the Blues last season and he is likely to leave permanently after entering the final year of his contract.

Young loanees

A host of youngsters could depart Old Trafford on deadline day, with the club looking to find first-team football for a number of players who have outgrown the academy set-up.

The likes of Ethan Galbraith and Shola Shoretire are being considered by Football League sides as United look to finalise their squad before the window closes.
