He played football at semi pro level and has a Level 1 FA Coaching badge, and it was during this time that he gained his first experience of football media.

Now working predominantly for FootballTransfers, Steve has maintained the industry critical knowledge of the global world of football transfers to effectively cover the market and all of the major deals arising.

He has consistently been recognised as a key contributor by various outlets in this regard and most notably, he was was first to break the news of Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard’s moves to Arsenal, Antonio Conte’s switch to Spurs and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s interest in buying Manchester United.
