He played football at semi pro level and has a Level 1 FA Coaching badge, and it was during this time that he gained his first experience of football media.

By demonstrating the necessary organisational skills and professional commitment to his area of expertise, he soon became friends with many others in the business, all of whom excel in their chosen field: and can call upon at a moment’s notice.

Steve has previously worked as a transfer expert for Capital Sports FM and also helped produce a successful podcast for CaughtOffside, which saw him interview a different football personality each week.

Now working predominantly for FootballTransfers, Steve has maintained the industry critical knowledge of the global world of football transfers to effectively cover the market and all of the major deals arising.

He has consistently been recognised as a key contributor by various outlets in this regard and most notably, he was was first to break the news of Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard’s moves to Arsenal, Antonio Conte’s switch to Spurs and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s interest in buying Manchester United.
