CONFIRMED: Aílton signs for VfB Stuttgart

CONFIRMED: Aílton signs for Stuttgart

Benfica's pursuit of Aílton reaches new heights. Numerous reports indicating a 80% probability of the defender making the switch to his potential new club. Here is why.

Benfica has often bought players who are approximately the same age as the current age of Aílton (31).
Aílton is in a favorable situation regarding potential playing time, as there are only a limited number of direct competitors for his position within the current Benfica squad. This significantly increases his chances to prove himself and become a key player on the field.
The absence of key players at Benfica who play in the same position as Aílton increases his chances of playing a significant role in the short term and allows him to establish himself as a valuable asset in Benfica's squad.

Transfer Logic score:

Pros

Comparable age to previously attracted players
Few direct competitors for position
Missing star player in position on team
Few better competitors for position (Fredrik Aursnes, Alexander Bah)
Comparable value to previously attracted players
Comparable quality to previously attracted players

Cons

Potential star player in position on team
Some potentially better competitors for position (Fredrik Aursnes, Alexander Bah)
Less potential than previously attracted players
