‘He can’t even control a ball’ - Man Utd’s €80m striker target MOCKED
Man Utd have been offered Juventus flop Dusan Vlahovic, who has been slammed over his lack of basic technique in Italy.
Vlahovic is one of the biggest names on the summer market who has been transfer listed, with Juventus desperate to sell him.
Man Utd have been offered the Serbian striker and the Red Devils have long considered making a move for the attacker.
But they will perhaps think twice after hearing the words of former Napoli, Udinese, Pescara and Como coach Giovanni Galeone, who is known as the mentor to Max Allegri.
What did Galeone say?
"Vlahovic? He earns €1 million a month and he can’t even control a ball," Galeone roared.
"In youth academies, they make kids practice set plays instead of teaching the fundamentals."
Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that Juventus have offered Vlahovic to Man Utd but added the Premier League giants have not moved for the striker yet.
"Vlahovic is expected to leave Juventus this summer, he is not a key player any more, " Romano told his YouTube channel.
"He has one year left on his contract so Juventus are more than ready to let Vlahovic go.
"Vlahovic was offered to Manchester United because he has to leave Juventus. But at the moment United are focused on Bryan Mbeumo and are not advancing on this deal for Vlahovic.
"They are aware of this possibility but I am not aware of a negotiation for Vlahovic at this moment."
Vlahovic has been put up for sale by the Bianconeri for a mix of sporting and financial reasons.
The 25-year-old’s contract in Turin expires in 2026 and renewal talks over a new deal have long since ended.
Juventus are struggling badly to find buyers for Vlahovic, so much so that Nicolo Schira reports they have reduced his asking price to just €20 million.
Schira adds that Juventus are refusing to give Vlahovic severance pay but are desperate to offload him.
Vlahovic is the highest-paid player in Serie A on €12 million per season and this cost is draining Juve's finances.
The Serbian arrived from Fiorentina in 2022 for €80m as the hottest young striker in Europe after Erling Haaland.
However, he has never fulfilled his potential in Turin.
Vlahovic has still managed 58 goals in 145 games for Juventus, but he has been widely mocked for his overall play and poor technique.
United are in the market for a new number nine this summer, making Vlahovic a potential option.
