Bruno Fernandes has told Man Utd he will probably join Al-Hilal this summer if the Red Devils don't win the Europa League.

Fichajes reports that Bruno is "very worried" about the lack of progress being shown by Man Utd under Bruno Amorim and believes the project isn't really going anywhere.

The 30-year-old is tempted by the massive financial offer on the table from Saudi Arabia and sees little reason to stay at United if they aren't challenging among the best clubs.

United are 16th in the Premier League and Fichajes reports that only a Europa League win could convince Bruno to stay as it would mean a trophy and qualification for the Champions League.

Bruno to join Al-Hilal?

Bruno’s entourage has been locked in talks with Al-Hilal in the last week or so to discuss a summer transfer.

The 30-year-old has already been offered a lucrative three-year contract worth a staggering €70 million per season.

There have been reports that Bruno has a €65m release clause in his Man Utd contract that Al-Hilal will be ready to activate.

Man Utd are keen to keep Bruno, with manager Ruben Amorim considering the player a key part of his project going into next season.

"No. It's not going to happen,” Amorim said last month.

"He’s 30, I think, but he’s still so young because he plays 55 games every season and between assists and goals he’s there for 30 at least.

"We are in control of the situation and I feel that he is really happy here, especially because he understands what we want to do and then I think he is one more supporter of Manchester United. He really feels it.

"Sometimes the frustration that you and everybody sees, and says, 'It's not a good thing for the captain' - it's a sign that he wants it so bad.

"This is the kind of player we want. He's not going anywhere - because I already told him."

Fernandes joined Man Utd in 2020 from Sporting Lisbon. He has since made 285 appearances, scoring 98 goals but only winning one EFL Cup and one FA Cup.
