Martin Zubimendi STUNS Arsenal

Martin Zubimendi has stunned Arsenal by flirting with Real Madrid and denying that a move to Arsenal is already agreed.
It was widely believed that Zubimendi to Arsenal was already a done deal, with only official confirmation missing.
However, Zubimendi has appeared to deny that is the case and even flirted with the possibility of a move to Real Sociedad.
What did Zubimendi say?
"My future? It will be a long summer. I don't know how it will end," Zubimendi said.
"If Xabi Alonso calls me to join Real Madrid? I've always said Xabi is my idol, and it was a privilege to have him as my coach at La Real B.
"If he called me now? I don't want to talk about that hypothesis, I'd rather talk about the present. It would be disrespectful to talk about that while I'm on national team duty.
"I posted pics on a Spanish beach while rumours said I'm in London doing medical exams for Arsenal? Yes, I did that to make it clear those rumours were NOT true."
These quotes come after Fabrizio Romano claimed Arsenal will formally complete Zubimendi's move from Real Sociedad in the coming weeks.
FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta’s side have agreed personal terms with Zubimendi.
The 26-year-old made 48 appearances across all competitions for Real Sociedad this past season, scoring two goals, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €57.1 million.

Zubimendi was close to signing for Liverpool last summer, while Real Madrid were interested ahead of this summer.
Zubimendi at Euro 2024
Zubimendi enjoyed a fantastic Euro 2024 as Spain won the title and he was deemed by many to have been the key man in the 2-1 final win over England.
The midfielder came on at half time for Rodri with the score at 0-0 and immediately changed the game.
Zubimendi has spent his whole career at Real Sociedad, making 232 appearances and scoring 10 goals. He won the Copa del Rey in 2020.
Previously he played for Real Sociedad’s B team, making 50 appearances and scoring four goals.
He has been capped 17 times by Spain, winning Euro 2024 and the Nations League. He has scored one goal.
