Estevao open to Chelsea exit

Chelsea winger Estevao Willian could explore a possible transfer when the January window opens if he continues to receive limited first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso has used a 3-4-2-1 system in both of Chelsea’s two league matches so far this season and with Cole Palmer deployed as a right-sided No.10, it’s no surprise that Estevao has found game time hard to come by, having only played seven minutes of his side’s two Premier League games so far.

The 18-year-old isn’t well-suited to playing as a wing-back, given his lack of defensive nous, and it’s difficult to imagine a scenario in which he displaces Palmer in the pecking order considering the England star’s current form.

As a result, it’s understood that Estevao could potentially look to leave Chelsea when the winter transfer window opens on 1 January. That is according to ESPN Brazil, who report that while Estevao remains happy at Stamford Bridge and wants to stay at the club, his stance could change if he continues to struggle for game time.

Chelsea warned of Camara future

AS Monaco boss Filipe Luis has admitted that “all the big clubs” will be interested in signing Lamine Camara following his failed move to Chelsea on Transfer Deadline Day.

The Senegal midfielder was on the verge of joining Xabi Alonso’s side on Tuesday evening, with a medical completed and personal terms fully agreed, but Monaco pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute.

When asked about Camara’s failed move to Chelsea, Monaco boss Luis admitted (via GFFN): “Probably, with everything, there is something in his mind that is affected. But, honestly, he is a special kid; he is a very special person. It is easy to work with him.

“The football world knows about Lamine. Other clubs are looking at him. If he just maintains [his level], it won’t just be one club – all the big clubs will come for him.”

Blues told City to ‘back away’ from Bouaddi

Chelsea reportedly asked Manchester City to ‘back away’ from signing Ayyoub Bouaddi during negotiations for Enzo Fernandez so that they could bring in the youngster instead, according to fresh insight into the deal.

City eventually paid a slight premium to sign Fernandez on deadline day for €145m but not before also bringing in Bouaddi from Lille for €95m, while Maresca’s side had also registered an interest in two other Chelsea stars in Pedro Neto and Malo Gusto.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea had asked City to ‘back away’ from Bouaddi to allow him to replace Fernandez at Stamford Bridge, while they also demanded Nico O’Reilly in exchange for Gusto, along with their full asking price of £80m (€93m.)

Chelsea sources denied the reports about Bouaddi and claimed that Gusto was never available for a move, with a deal for Fernandez being the only bit of business conducted between both sides to give the Argentine international a dream reunion with Maresca.

Chelsea complete wonderkid signing

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of a new player after seeing the transfer window close on Tuesday without the addition of a new midfielder.

The Blues have now officially announced the signing of a new player in Denner, who joins from Corinthians, having agreed a deal for the left-back last year to join when he turned 18, which happened in February.

A brief statement on Chelsea’s website confirmed that Denner would be linking up with the club’s ‘Cobham Next Gen’ or ‘CNG’ squad – the new name for the under-21 and under-18s side.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed in March 2025 that the deal was thought to be worth around €10m plus €4m in add-ons, with Denner revealed to have signed a contract until 2034.
