Arsenal Transfer News Today: Rashford links emerge as Bouaddi race over
All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Ayyoub Bouaddi, Marcus Rashford and Mika Godts.
Bouaddi race over?
Having recently lost out in the race to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, something similar is about to happen with Ayyoub Bouaddi as the Lille wonderkid is on the cusp of signing for Manchester City, reports Graeme Bailey of TeamTalk.
Bouaddi was one of the breakout stars of the 2026 World Cup, having emerged as one of Morocco's best players on their journey to the quarter-final.
It didn't take long for the transfer rumours to generate. Initially, Lille's €97 million asking price acted as a deterrent to most. But, it doesn't seem to have bothered Man City, who will soon open up their chequebook again to sign an expensive midfielder, having already broken their transfer record to sign Elliott Anderson in this summer window.
Rashford's future
The Marcus Rashford saga continues at Man Utd as nobody really knows what the future will hold for the England winger just yet.
His high salary meant Barcelona pulled out of the deal to sign him permanently which means there’s just a handful of clubs out there who could bring him in on big wages.
United do not want to sell him to a Premier League rival, but could be convinced to loan him to Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham just to get the money off the wage bill. (iNews)
Another winger recruit?
Arsenal have already agreed a deal to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge but, having already sold Leandro Trossard to Besiktas, Mikel Arteta wants more reinforcements on the left wing.
That has brought them back to Mika Godts, who was mentioned as a transfer target earlier in this window.
There are conflicting reports as to how much Godts would cost, as the price tag ranges from €40m to €55m. (FootballLondon)
Arsenal want Palace starlet
Arsenal are keen to sign 16-year-old striker Mylo Bernard, previously of Crystal Palace.
According to The Secret Scout, his contract with Palace expired last month and although they have offered him a new one on improved terms, the Gunners could swoop in with a counter-offer.
Hamburg keen on permanent deal
Hamburger SV remain determined to secure a permanent deal for Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira, although the two clubs are still some way apart in their valuations.
The 26-year-old is no longer considered part of Arsenal's long-term plans. Following a loan spell back at former club Porto during the 2024/25 campaign, Vieira spent last season with Hamburg, where he became one of the club's standout performers.
Negotiations remain complicated by the financial gap between the clubs. Arsenal are holding firm on their asking price, valuing Vieira at more than €20 million, while Hamburg are currently only in a position to bid around €10 million.
