Exclusive: Morgan Rogers wants Arsenal or Bayern Munich

Morgan Rogers’ representatives have only held extensive conversations with Arsenal and Bayern Munich ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, FootballTransfers understands.

Both clubs are keeping a keen eye on Rogers’ situation at Villa Park, and sources have told us that his representatives have only held lengthy transfer negotiations with Arsenal and Bayern so far.

Other clubs across European football are also eager to sign the 23-year-old when the summer transfer window opens, including Chelsea, but those talks haven’t progressed beyond making their interest known.

Furthermore, as things stand, Arsenal and Bayern are the only two clubs that Rogers would seriously consider joining this summer. Currently, if a move to either of those teams fails to materialise, we have been told the England attacking midfielder would be likely to remain at Aston Villa for at least another season.

Julian Alvarez boost

Arsenal have been informed that they are now the only club capable of signing Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, according to AS.

Barcelona are not prepared to bid more than €100m for the player, believing that Real Madrid’s rejected offer was little more than a ‘publicity stunt’ from their Clasico rivals. Given that Alvarez has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €113m, any bid around that range looks to be extremely optimistic.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are focusing their attention on signing a defender and are not expected to revisit the deal imminently. As a result, Arsenal could reportedly be the only option for the Argentina superstar.

Nathaniel Brown blow

Arsenal are set to miss out on Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown to Bayern Munich, according to multiple reports.

The Gunners were linked with a move for the Germany left-back ahead of this summer, but it’s been revealed that he has already reached a full agreement on personal terms to join Vincent Kompany’s side.

Meanwhile, talks are ongoing between the two clubs, with Bayern very close to making him their first summer signing.

Marcus Rashford offer

Arsenal have been made aware of Marcus Rashford’s availability by intermediaries acting on Manchester United’s behalf, as per TEAMtalk.

Barcelona have opted against signing the England star on a permanent deal this summer, after purchasing his international colleague Anthony Gordon instead, and he is therefore set to return to Old Trafford after the World Cup.

However, Man Utd don’t want to keep him and they have reportedly begun offering him to clubs across Europe, including Arsenal.

Morgan Gibbs-White latest

Mikel Arteta has asked the Arsenal hierarchy to sign Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, according to Fichajes.

The 26-year-old has emerged as one of Arsenal’s top targets for the upcoming window and it’s understood that he would be open to securing an Emirates Stadium switch if a suitable offer is submitted.

Forest are reluctant to sanction a sale, however, and Arsenal will therefore be required to pay a significant transfer fee to land his signature.

Exclusive: Man Utd plot Mateus Fernandes offer

Man Utd are planning on submitting an opening offer for Arsenal target Mateus Fernandes in the coming days, FootballTransfers has been told.

The 21-year-old has emerged as a top target for Michael Carrick’s side following an excellent debut season at the London Stadium, and Man Utd are keen to bring him to Old Trafford this summer as they prepare for their first campaign back in the Champions League since 2023-24.

Fernandes is expected to leave West Ham before the end of the summer window, amid significant transfer interest, and sources have informed FootballTransfers that Man Utd are planning on making a serious offer for the 21-year-old in the coming days.

We understand that Man Utd’s first bid for Fernandes is likely to be in the region of €75 million (£65m), although this is below West Ham’s current valuation of the player.
