Igor Tudor is ‘likely’ to leave Tottenham imminently after a disastrous start to life in North London which was compounded by a sad development in his personal life.

Tudor was named Spurs’ interim manager last month in a surprise appointment after Thomas Frank was sacked and the Croatian boss has failed to win any of his five Premier League matches in charge, picking up just a single point.

The run of form leaves Tottenham just one point above the drop zone and in serious danger of being relegated with seven games remaining, prompting speculation that Spurs may look to make another quick managerial change.

Although Tudor has remained defiant during his time in charge, his situation took a turn for the worst following Tottenham’s 0-3 loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday after the Croatian’s father, Mario, passed away.

Tudor left to return home immediately after the defeat and, according to football.london, there is a ‘growing belief’ that a mutual parting of ways is the ‘most likely’ scenario for Tottenham.

Spurs are aware the situation is delicate and want to be ‘sensitive’ to Tudor’s position, with the 47-year-old set to focus on family matters and giving the club an opportunity to reassess their options.

Hutter, Redknapp, Dyche: Who are the frontrunners to replace Tudor at Tottenham?

Tudor’s departure could come during the current international break, with Tottenham not playing a match until they visit Sunderland on April 12 and the club will want to appoint a new manager before players return to training next week.

It remains to be seen what direction Tottenham take should they look to appoint a third manager in nine months, with reports that Austrian coach Adi Hutter is emerging as a favourite for the role.

Hutter has been out of work since being sacked by Monaco in October, although reports that the 56-year-old is already in talks with Spurs have been dismissed by those close to the situation.

Sean Dyche is still considered an option due to his expertise in relegation fights but the ex-Everton boss is thought to be reluctant to take a short-term role, while Roberto De Zerbi is only interested in the job in the summer.

Instead, Tottenham could turn to a familiar face such as Harry Redknapp or Chris Hughton, as well as Ryan Mason, who has previously had a stint as interim boss, although resolving Tudor’s future will be the biggest priority for the club in the short-term.
