Chelsea set the transfer market alight: €120m Real Madrid double signing planned
Chelsea did not make a single major signing during the winter transfer window, but Liam Rosenior’s side are instead planning a spectacular summer that will see them raid Real Madrid for two players.
The Stamford Bridge side are seeking to complete a remarkable double deal that will see them snap up both Endrick and Nico Paez from Los Blancos.
With both young talents highly rated at the Bernabeu, they will be forced to shell out a total of €120 million for the pair, according to Fichajes.
Chelsea want Endrick and Nico Paz
Endrick has struggled for game time at Real Madrid this season and was shipped out to Lyon on loan in early January. Since making the move to France, he has caught the eye, scoring four goals in four games.
Chelsea are ready to pay €70m for the Brazil international, who will doubtless have been following the impressive progress of Willian Estevao while in the Premier League.
Similarly, the Blues want to snap up Nico Paz, who is a Como player currently. Paz has been one of the most exciting young players in Europe this season, finding the net nine times and creating six more strikes for others.
While Real Madrid are ready to exercise their €9m buy-out clause for the 21-year-old, Chelsea are ready to offer them an instant profit on the player by launching a €50m bid.
Real Madrid sell to fund Haaland deal?
There is no guarantee that either of these deals will be completed, despite the extraordinary sums of money involved.
Real Madrid reportedly see both players as vital to the future of the first team, while it may well also hinge on what the incoming manager wants.
Nico Paz, for instance, has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €70m, so Chelsea are actually undervaluing him at the price they are reportedly willing to offer Real Madrid.
But Los Blancos’ interest in Erling Haaland could come into play here. President Florentino Perez is reportedly eager to sign the Manchester City striker, and this influx of €120m would certainly help him to do it.
Chelsea would certainly not be averse to this possibility, with City losing Haaland benefitting their push to climb back to the top of the Premier League.
