Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Chelsea signing CONFIRMED, Real Madrid WONDERKID latest, Yildiz UPDATE
Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Chelsea have completed the signing of a wonderkid, while there are updates on Endrick, Lennart Karl and Kenan Yildiz.
Chelsea secure deal for Deiner Ordonez
Chelsea’s quest to find the best young talent from around the world has continued with the Blues signing a compatriot of Moises Caicedo.
After raiding Independiente del Valle for Kendry Paez last summer, the Blues have returned to the club to make another big addition.
Romano explained on his YouTube channel: "Chelsea have completed a deal for young centre back Deinner Ordonez, born in 2009 and widely regarded as one of Ecuador's standout talents. Ecuador continue to produce an impressive number of young players, with Independiente del Valle again at the heart of their development work.
"Independiente del Valle have already produced players like Kendry Paez and Moises Caicedo, and when it comes to centre backs, names such as Willian Pacho and Piero Hincapie have emerged from the same system. Ordonez follows that line. He is tall, fast, and highly rated, although he will need time to adapt to European football.
"Three other clubs were in the race, including two in England and one in Germany, but Chelsea moved quickly. Their scouting department have monitored Ordonez for months, observing him on and off the pitch. When the moment came to act, they were fast and decisive.
"Chelsea have agreed a long-term contract with Ordonez and have an excellent relationship with Independiente del Valle, which made the negotiation straightforward. The plan is for Ordonez to arrive in London in December 2027 or January 2028. He may visit Cobham earlier to take photos and prepare for the move.
"This signing strengthens Chelsea's long-term defensive strategy. They already have emerging talents such as Josh Acheampong and established figures like Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana, but they wanted another high-potential centre back for the future. Despite links this morning with Liverpool, Chelsea had already completed the deal. Everything is signed, and the club have been in Ecuador to finalise the agreement. The official announcement will follow."
Endrick to Lyon nears completion
Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick is close to finalising his move to Lyon, which has been in the works for several days.
"Staying in South America, another exclusive from October is reaching its final stages. Endrick is very close to joining Olympique Lyon. Only the final details remain, and the club hope to complete the move between November and December so the striker can be fully settled by early January. Lyon see him as an important addition for Paolo Fonseca," Romano said.
Bayern prepare new contract for Lennart Karl
Bayern Munich are working on tying down Lennart Karl on a long-term basis after his explosive introduction into the first team.
"I also want to highlight an exciting young talent: Lennart Karl of Bayern. He has been outstanding in the Champions League and Bundesliga, and Bayern are delighted with his development. Earlier this year he signed a contract with guidance from Michael Ballack, but Bayern are already considering a new deal to reflect his rapid progression," Romano said.
"Karl has scored in the Champions League, Bundesliga, and now for Germany U21s. Bayern see him as a major part of their future and are already planning his long-term pathway."
Premier League clubs track Kenan Yildiz
Juventus star Kenan Yildiz has been going through a drought lately, but the wonderkid is still attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest sides.
"Despite recent rumours, there is still no agreement on a new contract. Talks have been ongoing since the summer, but there remains a financial gap between club and player," Romano explained.
"The contract runs until 2029, so the situation is not urgent in terms of duration, but Juventus want to improve his salary and avoid interest from major clubs. There have been reports about Barcelona, but my information is that the real threat is coming from the Premier League. Several top clubs are monitoring Yildiz closely.
"This is not a January deal, but something that could develop next summer if Juventus and Yildiz do not reach an agreement. The player is highly valued at Juventus and has been important for coaches such as Thiago Motta, Massimiliano Allegri, Igor Tudor, and now Luciano Spalletti. Premier League clubs, however, are keeping very close eye on him."
