Chelsea make €150m approach for Vinicius Junior

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a ‘strong offensive’ to try and sign Vinicius Junior next summer amid speculation that contract talks have broken down between the Brazilian and Real Madrid.

Vini Jr’s current deal expires in 2027 but negotiations have not progressed over a new contract, with the 25-year-old still uncertain over the terms offered and his role in the team going forward.

The situation has led Chelsea to discuss a €150 million offer, according to Fichajes, which is the amount that Madrid are open to selling Vinicius for if they cannot agree a new deal with him.

However, Vini’s priority is believed to be renewing with Los Blancos and it remains to be seen whether he would consider a move away, with Madrid not keen on letting the uncertainty drag on much longer.

Julian Alvarez linked with Chelsea transfer

Chelsea are also reportedly preparing a €150m bid for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez as they look to beat Barcelona to his signature next year.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are both known admirers of the 25-year-old, while Chelsea have now reportedly joined the race to sign him, despite the fact that Emanuel Emegha will arrive at the club from Strasbourg in 2026.

This has been confirmed by Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Chelsea are even preparing a €150m offer for the Argentina striker, which would make him the most expensive player in Premier League history.

Wharton becomes Chelsea’s ‘priority’ target

Chelsea have made Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton their priority signing ahead of the January transfer window, according to a report.

Enzo Maresca’s side are ready to challenge the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid for the England international star, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €62.1 million.

Wharton is Chelsea’s first choice, according to TEAMtalk, who report that Nico Paz of Como and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo are also on their radar.

Romano reveals truth surrounding Chelsea’s Rodrygo interest

Fabrizio Romano has given an update on Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid, amid speculation that the winger could move to Chelsea next summer.

Speaking on YouTube, Romano said: "At the moment, what I'm getting as an answer from Chelsea sources is very clear: With maximum respect for Rodrygo, Chelsea are not in negotiations, Chelsea are not in talks with Rodrygo's camp or with Real Madrid, and there is zero ongoing between Chelsea and Rodrygo.

"Chelsea are not working on this one. Then, if you ask me if I believe that Rodrygo could leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window – look, I will keep an eye on this situation.

“January might be difficult because in January Endrick is leaving, but for the summer transfer window it could be different."

Chelsea rival Atletico for Argentine wonderkid

Chelsea are believed to be in competition with Atletico Madrid to sign River Plate defender Lautaro Rivero, according to Fichajes.

Rivero has impressed with his performances for the Argentine club this season, which saw him sign a new deal with a €100m release clause recently.

However, Chelsea believe a deal can get done for closer to €20m and their resources could see them beat the likes of Atletico, Tottenham and Real Madrid to his signature.
