Chelsea set INSANE Enzo Fernandez asking price as Real Madrid circle
Chelsea have reportedly set their asking price for Enzo Fernandez at €138 million (£120m) amid significant transfer interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Xabi Alonso’s side are expected to sign a new central midfielder in 2026 and they have identified Fernandez as a key target, as per multiple reports in Spain.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu for months and Chelsea have now responded to the transfer speculation surrounding the midfielder by slapping a €138m asking price on his head.
That is according to a blockbuster report from Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Chelsea have no intention of allowing Fernandez to depart the club unless they receive an “extraordinary offer.”
The 24-year-old’s current contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2032 and although Real Madrid have been scouting the ex-Benfica star for several months, Chelsea’s asking price is expected to rule them out of the running for his signature.
In fact, Fichajes claim that Los Blancos would only be able to finalise a deal for Fernandez if they “sacrifice other resources or players.”
Fellow Chelsea star Moises Caicedo has also emerged as a possible transfer target for Real Madrid in recent weeks, however Enzo Maresca’s side will also be extremely reluctant to part ways with the Ecuador star and a transfer to the Spanish capital is therefore unlikely to take place.
Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid?
If Real Madrid are willing to match Chelsea’s asking price for Fernandez, he would become the most expensive player in the club’s history by a significant margin.
That record is currently held by Jude Bellingham, who arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee of €127m in 2023.
The England international initially cost €103m, however that figure has increased over the past two years due to several add-on clauses being met.
