Man Utd given deadline for Mbeumo Plan B as CUT-PRICE deal confirmed

Manchester United are increasingly optimistic of signing Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, but the Old Trafford side have formulated a ‘Plan B’ should they miss out on the Cameroon international.
Ruben Amorim’s side have made contact with Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, according to Corriere dello Sport.
If they are to sign the Italy international, though, they will have to move quickly. Kean has a clause in his contract that last for two weeks that will allow clubs to snap him up for €52 million before it expires.
The 25-year-old has a contract with the Florence outfit that runs until 2029 and an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €42m. Man Utd would, therefore, have to pay a little over the odds to sign the striker, yet this fee is considerably cheaper than the one they would have to pay to land Mbeumo.
FootballTransfers has revealed in conjunction with The Transfers Podcast that Brentford have told United to stump up €82m to sign Mbeumo.
Kean has Premier League experience from his Everton days, though he struggled during his previous stint in England, netting just two league goals. Indeed, he was infamously replaced as a substitute by interim boss Duncan Ferguson when playing for the Toffees at Old Trafford.

Mbeumo to Man Utd: The latest
It looks increasingly likely that Man Utd will sign Mbeumo, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that talks are advancing positively.
Romano explained on YouTube: “Even on Sunday, the contacts continued between Manchester United and Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo. There is still no here we go, but Man Utd keep advancing. They’re going very strong and now the feeling is positive.”
Bargain possibility
Man Utd are seeking to fund new signings with sales, and to that end a fifth player has joined Amorim’s ranks of unwanted stars, according to The Mirror.
After PSV chose not to turn Tyrell Malacia’s loan into a permanent move, the Netherlands international left-back finds himself on the transfer list.
Malacia’s star has fallen so far and so quickly at Old Trafford that United are willing to allow him to depart cheaply. PSV refused to take up an option worth €10m for the player.
It is claimed that there are currently no buyers for the 25-year-old, who has an ETV of €12.2m. His long history of injury problems is seen as an off-putting factor.
Malacia joins Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho on a list of players Man Utd are desperate to sell.
