Manchester United are ready to make a very personal offer in order to try and steal Antoine Semenyo away from Liverpool.

Liverpool are the hot favourites to sign Semenyo during the January transfer window, with The Athletic considering the Reds or Man City as the most likely destination for the attacker.

However, Man Utd have also entered the race for Semenyo and the Daily Mirror reports that the Red Devils have an ace up their sleeve.

United are prepared to offer Semenyo his favoured No.24 shirt in order to convince him to reject Liverpool or City.

Man Utd would simply remove the No.24 shirt from Andre Onana, who is out on loan with Trabzonspor, and give it to Semenyo.

The number 24 is believed to be important to Semenyo and could help sway his decision.

Semenyo to leave Bournemouth?

Fabrizio Romano says there is up to a ‘70 per cent chance’ of Antoine Semenyo joining a Premier League giant in January.

On his Here We Go podcast earlier this week, Romano confirmed that Semenyo is one to watch closely during the January transfer window.

Romano confirmed the presence of a release clause worth £60 million plus £5m in add-ons.

The Italian journalist said that a number of the Premier League's biggest clubs are interested in signing him in January and that if the deal doesn't happen then, we can expect it to possibly happen in the summer.

Liverpool have reportedly been in direct contact with Bournemouth over a January deal for Semenyo for the past two months.

The Ghana international has attracted significant transfer interest from across the Premier League following a fantastic start to the new season, in which he has scored six goals and provided three assists in 11 English top flight appearances.

The 25-year-old is viewed as a possible long-term successor to Mohamed Salah by the Reds hierarchy and transfer reporter IndyKaila has revealed that Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has been in “direct contact” with Bournemouth for two months.

The Ghana star chose to sign a new deal with the Cherries over the summer, after rejecting the chance to join both Man Utd and Tottenham, as per IndyKaila, although he opted to add a release clause in the process.

As a result, Bournemouth may be powerless to prevent a mid-season departure amid substantial interest from multiple elite Premier League clubs.
