Liverpool reject surprise Deadline Day transfer offer from Premier League club
Liverpool have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, according to the Daily Mail.
Forest offered £15 million for the 25-year-old but The Reds value him at more than £20m.
Although he is only second choice at Anfield, with Alisson operating at a world class level, he has been given some opportunities in recent years.
In all, he has played 34 times for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and he has impressed more often than not.
It comes as no surprise that Liverpool are not willing to sell him, especially without the time left in the transfer window to identify a replacement.
The Reds are also said to have used Manchester City’s £19m sale of James Trafford to Burnley as a benchmark for their asking price.
Forest want ex-Arsenal striker
Forest are trying to explore a move for former Arsenal prodigy Chuba Akpom in the final hours of the transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Ajax player is under serious consideration on deadline day, with the Reds trying to bolster their attack.
£15m rejected for Kelleher then...
Right decision? Reassess in the summer maybe?

Akpom has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring nine goals, which has caught the attention of several Premier League sides.
It is believed that Ajax are reluctant to let Akpom leave but a significant offer could tempt them.
Fulham have also been linked to Akpom but now it appears that their sights are set on Chelsea's Armando Broja.
