Neil Warnock insists that Erik ten Hag won't last at Manchester United after blasting his signings.

The Red Devils boss is once again under pressure. Despite recently seeing an uptick in results, the performances hadn't been convincing and Man Utd's glaring shortcomings were mercilessly exploited by Man City in the derby.

Pep Guardiola's side ran out comfortable 3-0 victors on the day and plunged their city rivals back into crisis. Man Utd have endured their worst start to a season in 30 years and questions are being asked of Ten Hag and his recruitment seeing as though "his" players are failing to have an impact, with Antony, in particular, looking more and more like one of the club's biggest flop signings with each passing game.

Legendary coach Neil Warnock, who recently left his role in charge of Championship side Huddersfield, joined the chorus of voices casting doubt on the Dutchman's ability to turn things around at Old Trafford.

What did Warnock say?

"I thought," Warnock said on talkSPORT, "when he first came over he was going to be the answer because I thought it needed a disciplinarian in that environment, but I've got to say I've not enjoyed watching how he's gone about it."

"The money that he's spent, people forget. Whatever you think about the owners, they've spent some massive money. Some of the players they've spent £60-70 million [on], I wouldn't have had them with me at Huddersfield."

Asked whether Ten Hag will remain Red Devils boss for much longer, Warnock replied: "I don't think he will personally. I'm not sure he wants to last either. I think he knows he's banging his head against a brick wall."

Ten Hag will get his shot at a bit of redemption when his side face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
