'The end is near' - Fans react as Mudryk FINALLY breaks Chelsea scoring curse

Chelsea fans were left in shock when Mykhailo Mudryk, at last, got his first Premier League goal against Fulham.

The Ukrainian arrived in January 2023 to the tune of €70 million but endured a torrid time at Stamford Bridge last term. Failing to score in his first half-season in London, hopes were high for the 22-year-old after an encouraging pre-season.

Yet this enthusiasm quickly dissipated when Mudryk - and Chelsea as a whole - began the new campaign in much the same fashion as they had ended the last. Mudryk eventually even found himself on the outside looking in, but he has worked his way back into the team and has now repaid Mauricio Pochettino's faith in him.

The winger opened the scoring for the Blues against Fulham in what quickly became a double whammy when Armando Broja also found the net for his first goal following his long-term injury. Mudryk's strike was lovely all around with Levi Colwill playing a great pass that he took down and expertly converted for his maiden Chelsea goal - almost ten months on from his arrival.
