Ibrahim Sangare likely played his final game for PSV in Wednesday’s 5-1 Champions League victory over Rangers.

The Eindhoven club have received a €35m bid for the player from Nottingham Forest, which means that the midfielder’s €37.5m release clause may not need to be reached.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV are not unwilling to allow Sangare to leave and it seems that more clubs will arrive with offers in the final days of the transfer window.

With the income from the transfer, the arrival of Hirving Lozano can be funded, among other things. With Nottingham Forest now approaching the escape clause, there is a good chance that clubs such as Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain will now be left behind.

Yet it is by no means certain that Sangare himself wants to move to Nottingham Forest. The midfielder managed to qualify with PSV for the group stage of the Champions League on Wednesday evening, which means that he has to wonder whether Forest is actually a step forward.

According to the newspaper, the Ivorian, who has been a leading figure at PSV for some time, is still thinking about that.

Doubts over Bakayoko transfer

Johan Bakayoko will also be allowed to leave PSV.

The attacker has also been of interest to PSG, among others, and his departure should herald the return of Lozano.

But Bakayoko has also started to have doubts about a possible departure, particularly with PSG closing in on Lyon’s Bradley Barcola as an alternative.

The Belgian attacker realises that playing under Peter Bosz at PSV can be an ideal learning experience and, therefore, seems to want to stay in Eindhoven this season.
