Hakim Ziyech's and Edouard Mendy's transfers to Saudi Arabia are done, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The two appear to be the next players in a long list of Chelsea outgoings after N'Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly have already been confirmed to be heading for Saudi Arabia.

More players are expected to leave, though not all of them will look to the Middle East for a fat payday. The likes of Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic will head to Premier League rivals, with the former on his way to Arsenal and the latter reportedly joining treble winners Manchester City. Mason Mount could yet also still leave for Manchester United, if Romano is to be believed.

Now, the transfer expert claims that Ziyech and Mendy are the latest Chelsea players to leave for Saudi Arabia.

Deals done

The Italian has announced to his 16 million Twitter followers that both transfers are in the final stages and pretty much done. "Al Ahli and Chelsea have signed all contracts" for Mendy, who leaves Chelsea after failing to really make the number one shirt his own.

Moreover, Romano claims that "Chelsea and Al Nassr have signed all the documents to complete [the] Hakim Ziyech deal." Like Mendy, the Moroccan had big hopes pinned on him when he arrived at Stamford Bridge, but he ultimately couldn't live up to the billing.

At Al-Nassr, he will join up with Cristiano Ronaldo, who was the first high-profile signing of Saudi Arabia's new transfer offensive.

Both Mendy's Al-Ahli and Ziyech's Al-Nassr are owned by the Saudi government's Public Investment Fund, which is trying to lure big-name stars to the country in hopes of turning the Pro League into a household name and, in turn, washing Saudi Arabia's public image clean in the face of a laundry list of human rights abuses.
