In Todd Boehly's short time in charge of Chelsea, he has already sacked two permanent managers, and reports suggest that this has left a significant dent in the club's finances.

Following their 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, Chelsea were forced to take action. Graham Potter's six-month spell managing the first team had been disastrous and the Blues look a good bet to miss out on Champions League football next season unless they win the competition this term.

Indeed, Potter departed with Chelsea languishing in lowly 11th, below newly-promoted local rivals Fulham and 12 points off the top four. It was ultimately an unsurprising decision to dismiss him, though it again went to show what a mess Boehly has created at Chelsea.

Earlier in the season, the American oversaw the sacking of reasonably popular and successful coach Thomas Tuchel, which looks a disastrous decision in hindsight. Now, the financial details of Chelsea's managerial mishaps have emerged.

How much have Chelsea spent on managers?

According to the Daily Mail, firing Tuchel meant that Chelsea had to pay him compensation in the region of €11 million. Additionally, replacing the German with Potter, who was under contract at Brighton at the time, set the club back some €25 million.

During his time in charge, Potter reportedly made around €8m, while his dismissal in turn required a severance pay of €15m. So in summation, the knee-jerk decision to sack Tuchel set in motion a staggering financial outlay of at least €59m - and now Chelsea don't even have a coach.

Without significant revenue generated from player sales and Champions League football, Chelsea could find it hard to comply with the Premier League's financial regulations next season, given that they have spent north of €600m on transfers in addition to their coaching expenses.
