Summer signing Gabriel Jesus - a £45m/€51.6m summer arrival from Manchester City - has impressed in particular, but the Gunners would like more strength in depth in the final third.

Lindstrom could provide it. A versatile attacking midfielder, he won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt last season and has kept his place for their raid on the Champions League this.

What position does Lindstrom play in?

A versatile attacking midfielder, Lindstrom has featured across midfield and attack since joining Frankfurt from Brondby for €7 million in July 2021, drawing comparisons with Thomas Muller due to his tactical adaptability.

In most of his games last season, Lindstrom played as one of two No.10s behind Rafael Borre in attack, but he also has a propensity to start wider on the right, from where he can drift in to find pockets of space.

How good is Lindstrom?

Earning comparison's with Bayern Munich's Germany World Cup winner Muller might sound like high praise, but Lindstrom has some impressive recent stats to back it up.

The Dane assisted four goals in nine games on Frankfurt's run to Europa League glory last season, and this term, he has notched seven Bundesliga goals in 22 matches.

He is also a diligent worker, averaging 23 pressures per game over the last year, putting him in the upper 95th percentile among midfielders Bundesliga-wide.

What clubs are interested in Lindstrom?

While Arsenal appear to be the frontrunners for Lindstrom's signature, he was also monitored by Manchester United this summer before they concluded their €100m move for Ajax's Antony.

The Bundesliga's bigger guns like Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs, but they could be priced out of a move by the Premier League suitors.

There has been a report via Sport1 that Arsenal and Brentford are among potential candidates to bring in the Danish star for the summer transfer window.

When does Lindstrom's contract expire?

Lindstrom's contract with Frankfurt runs until 30 June 2026, so Arsenal would have to pay a premium for his services.

He is currently rated at €37.1m by Football Transfers.

How old is Lindstrom?

Born on 29 February 2000, Lindstrom is 23 years old at the time of writing.

He shares a birthday with Barcelona's former Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres.

What is Lindstrom's Instagram?

Jesper Lindstrom's Instagram has 93.4k followers as of September 2022.
