Borussia Dortmund have slapped a €120 million price tag on Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham has attracted the interest of Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid after starring with Borussia Dortmund - and latterly England - but it seems clubs will have to be patient if they want to acquire the 19-year-old.

Bellingham has gone from strength-to-strength since swapping Birmingham for Dortmund in 2020, becoming their first-choice central midfielder despite his tender years.

He lifted the DFB Cup in 2021 and was their most-used player last season, racking up 2,795 minutes in the Bundesliga as BVB finished as runners-up to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

However, Bellingham only recently signed a new contract at the Signal Iduna Park, with Dortmund reluctance to lose him and Erling Haaland (who joined Manchester City) in the same summer.

"Anything under €120 million and Borussia Dortmund would be unwilling to talk," wrote German newspaper Sport Bild, who went on to elucidate BVB chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke's though's on the matter:

"I've noticed that Jude Bellingham will also help us immensely in the international marketing of the Bundesliga," the club boss is quoted as saying.

Bellingham does not have any release clause in his latest contract, which runs until 2025.

How good is Bellingham?

Man City coach Pep Guardiola previously said that Bellingham must be lying about his age after the then-17-year-old starred against the English champions in the Champions League.

As well as avoiding injury - or indeed dips in form - last season, Bellingham was in the 95th percentile or better for each of assists, completed dribbles and touches in the opposition penalty area last term.

Axel Witsel, who gets his game for Belgium, has been allowed to leave Dortmund such has been Bellingham's impressive form in his preferred position.

Liverpool, or any of the aforementioned, would be lucky to have him. But he won't come cheap.
