Now that the domestic season is over for all major European leagues, clubs can now focus on their preparations for the 2025/26 campaign, with a natural focus on recruitment.

The big spenders will be out in force again, with Real Madrid looking to back new boss Xabi Alonso, Chelsea keen to improve again after securing Champions League qualification, and Manchester United desperate to reclaim some kind of success after a disastrous season that saw them finish just three places above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha, with Man City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.

Some big deals happened earlier than usual due to the Club World Cup and the deadline for participation in that tournament is now over, though the window remains open.

Some questions that will hang over the transfer window this season:

  • Will Viktor Gyokeres leave Sporting CP?
  • Who will sign Victor Osimhen?
  • How much can Barcelona spend?
  • Will top players want to join Man Utd?
  • Will Arsenal sign a world-class striker?

Will Luis Suarez be released by Inter Miami?

AS reports that Luis Suarez is destined to leave Inter Miami at the end of his deal.

“The Uruguayan has a contract until the end of the year and almost certainly won’t renew with the Herons. It’s a decision that’s been under consideration since his extension back in January when the team’s participation in the Club World Cup was considered,” the Spanish source reports.

Inter Miami’s stance has been fuelled by the fact that they want to free up a Designated Player spot, with Suarez’s salary one of the highest at the club.

MAJOR competition for Rodrygo

Arsenal have been put on high alert as Paris Saint-Germain have apparently made Rodrygo their number one transfer target for the summer.

Luis Enrique has a wealth of talent at his disposal with Ousame Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos all vying for minutes in his front three.

PSG believe Rodrygo will provide Enrique with another quality option as they look to defend their Champions League crown, but they will likely need to pay Real Madrid at least €80 million for the Brazilian. (Fichajes)

Alex Baena bids farewell to Villarreal ahead of Atletico move

Alex Baena has confirmed his departure from Villarreal ahead of a move to Atletico Madrid.

"In football, you have to make decisions," he wrote on social media.

"Today, I had to make one, and you probably won’t understand it. I promised I’d be the first to say it, just as I promise you I’ll be back. I love you, groguets."

Atletico will pay around €50m for the attacking midfielder.

Man Utd offered THREE Juve stars

Man Utd have been offered three Juventus players in a potential swap deal involving Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils are keen to offload the winger this summer after a poor spell at Old Trafford following a big-money transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

Douglas Luiz, Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah are three players that could make the switch to United, with Sancho going in the other direction to Turin.

Arsenal to bid again for Mosquera

Valencia are looking to tempt Cristhian Mosquera to remain at the club with a bumper new contract but he wants to sign for Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

“Valencia have offered a new deal to Cristhian Mosquera with an important salary. My understanding, guys, is that Cristhian Mosquera's desire is very clear - Arsenal," Romano told his YouTube channel.

“Cristhian Mosquera wants to play for Arsenal. Now it's on Valencia and Arsenal to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. The first bid, 14-15 million euros, got rejected.

“Arsenal will be back to the table with a new proposal. So for sure the conversation will continue club to club for Mosquera and the decision of the player is to go to Arsenal. Now Valencia can try their efforts, of course, it's maximum respect for the club, but my feeling is that Cristhian Mosquera is leaning towards a move to Arsenal."

Man Utd looking at TWO Inter midfielders

We've already posted about Man Utd's interest in Hakan Calhanoglu but they apparently also hold interest in his team-mate Davide Frattesi.

Following the pursuit of a treble that amount to zero trophies last season, Inter will go through a major squad overhaul this summer.

Calhangolu has already allegedly expressed a desire to leave, while Frattesi would be open to a San Siro departure also. Caught Offside reports that his €50 million asking price has dropped to €35m.
