Kylian Mbappe was involved in a viral moment during PSG’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund when he told visiting boss Edin Terzic to replace Marcel Sabitzer.

Mbappe, who continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid, opened the scoring with a controversial penalty against the Bundesliga side before ex-Dortmund favourite Achraf Hakimi wrapped up the points with a fine second goal.

It was an excellent start to PSG’s Champions League campaign, particularly as AC Milan and Newcastle had earlier drawn 0-0 in the other group match.

Aside from the goals, though, there was a hilarious exchange between Mbappe and Terzic when Sabitzer went down injured during the first period.

The striker was caught coming across to the Dortmund boss and made a signal to indicate that the former Manchester United midfielder needed to be replaced.

“Change your player,” Mbappe told the Dortmund head coach.

Terzic replied: “Come and coach in my place if you want!”

The pair laughed and the match progressed, with Sabitzer ultimately needing to be replaced by Felix Nmecha.

It proved to be a costly evening for Dortmund, who did not only lose the game, but also saw Marius Wolf go off with a knock in the second half.

Sabitzer at Dortmund

Sabitzer moved to Dortmund in the summer from Bayern Munich for a fee of €19 million after Manchester United opted not to make his loan deal at Old Trafford permanent.

The Austria international had featured 18 times for Man Utd in the second half of last term but was notably absent as a four-match winning streak at the end of the season sealed their place in the Champions League.

During his time under Erik ten Hag, he scored one goal against Fulham in the FA Cup and also laid on an assist in the Premier League.

His time at Man Utd was dogged by injury, and it seems that his bad luck has followed him to Dortmund.
