New Manchester United part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will go on a fire-sale this summer and could offload as many as 15 players.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ratcliffe plans to cull the current Man Utd squad in a bid to get rid of underperforming and overpaid flops.

Ratcliffe has acquired a minority stake at United that has now been ratified, giving the INEOS owner control of the club’s transfer policy and recruitment.

And he plans a massive shake-up this summer after being left hugely unimpressed by the standard and professionalism of many of the current members of the Man Utd squad.

What players will Ratcliffe sell?

The 15 players who could be sold this summer by Ratcliffe are: Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, Hannibal Mejbri, Alvaro Fernandez, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Facundo Pellestri, Sofyan Amrabat, Anthony Martial and Tom Heaton.

From these players, Varane, Anthony Martial and Heaton are all out of contract this summer and are set to leave on free transfers. Indeed, Martial’s exit has already been announced by his agent.

Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof and Pellistri see their deals run out next year and are not being considered for a renewal. So United will look to sell to make some money back on them.

Amrabat will return to Fiorentina when his loan expires at the end of the current season, having been a major disappointment at Old Trafford.

Sancho, Van de Beek and Mejbri are all out on loan but have no future at Man Utd, and the club will look to sell if they can find buyers.

Alvaro Fernandez is on loan at Benfica, who have the option to make the deal permanent.

Ratcliffe has given up on Antony after a disastrous season in which he still has no Premier League goals or assists. He will be put up for sale, the question is whether a buyer can be found?

Casemiro is now 32 and Ratcliffe hopes to sell him to the Saudi Pro League.

The two most interesting players are Greenwood and Rashford. No decision has been made yet on what to do with Greenwood when he returns from loan from Getafe. As for Rashford, Ratcliffe is mulling over whether to sell the attacker in order to raise cash for a player who has lost his way somewhat this season on and off the pitch.
