Karim Benzema is unsettled in Saudi Arabia and is reportedly open to leaving Al-Ittihad before the January transfer window slams shut.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked, while his former club Lyon are also interested in re-signing the Ballon d’Or winner.

Although “there is nothing at the moment with Arsenal” according to Fabrizio Romano, Benzema remains unhappy at Al-Ittihad and the Gunners could pounce.

Miguel Almiron - Newcastle to Al-Shabab

Newcastle United’s financial woes have been well-reported in recent weeks and the Magpies are set to sell Miguel Almiron to Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, as per Ben Jacobs.

The Paraguay international is reportedly open to the move, while both clubs have reached a provisional agreement.

Jacobs has reported that it’s not yet a done deal, although Almiron appears on the verge of leaving Newcastle for Saudi Arabia.

Kieran Trippier - Newcastle to Bayern Munich

Joining Almiron out the door at St James’ Park could be Kieran Trippier, who is being targeted by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have made an initial approach for the England international as they seek a new right-back following Benjamin Pavard’s departure to Inter Milan in the summer.

Newcastle don’t want to lose Trippier and are demanding a fee of around €14 million for the ex-Atletico Madrid star, according to Sky Germany. Talks are currently ongoing.

Kalvin Phillips - Man City to West Ham

West Ham United are set to sign Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City, with both clubs in direct contact regarding the English midfielder.

It has been reported that David Moyes’ side will not have an option to buy Phillips this summer, with Man City willing to loan him out for the rest of the season as he seeks a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad.

Bayern Munich are not currently pursuing a move for the former Leeds star, despite reported interest.

Brian Brobbey - Ajax to Man Utd

Manchester United have re-entered the race to sign Netherlands forward Brian Brobbey after their failed pursuit in 2022.

According to reports, Erik ten Hag wants to be reunited with the Ajax striker, but Brobbey himself has denied any contact with his former manager or with Man Utd.

This move does seem unlikely, as Brobbey wants to stay, but the Red Devils are desperate to sign a new attacker and could push for Brobbey as the week progresses.
