Several Manchester United players have demanded that Erik ten Hag recalls Jadon Sancho from exile.

According to the Daily Mirror, Sancho has been “training like a beast” despite being exiled from the first-team squad.

The Mirror reports that several Man Utd players are unhappy with Ten Hag’s continued mistreatment of the winger and want to him to be recalled into the squad.

They believe Sancho could be a very useful weapon at a time when United’s season is at risk of completely imploding.

Sancho has been completely frozen out of the squad at Man Utd for months now.

It came after Ten Hag criticised Sancho publicly for his poor performances in training, which was followed by the winger essentially calling his manager a liar on social media.

Sancho has not been called up since the incident and has been barred from training with the first team, as well as using their facilities and canteen.

Sancho has also been deleted from the team’s WhatsApp group by Ten Hag.

He now looks all but certain to leave Manchester United in January.

A return to Borussia Dortmund has been touted, while some Serie A and Saudi clubs are also reportedly interested, Juventus especially.

But some United players have not given up hope of helping to rescue Sancho’s United career.

And they believe it will be for the good of United, who have made their worst start to a season for over 30 years. They have won 10, drawn one and lost 10 of their matches in all competitions.

They are well out of the running for top four, out of the League Cup and likely to exit the Champions League group stage.

Sancho joined Man Utd from Dortmund for €85 million in the summer of 2021 but has been a complete disaster at Old Trafford.

He has scored just 12 goals in 82 appearances and has regularly been a bench player during his two and a half years at the club.

He has also lost his place in the England national team squad and he knows he must move in January if he is to have a chance of going to Euro 2024 next summer.
