Eintracht Frankfurt may turn to Real Madrid’s Raul as next head coach

Eintracht Frankfurt may be on the cusp of pulling off one of the most intriguing managerial appointments of the season.
The Bundesliga side are on the hunt for a new head coach after Adi Hutter confirmed that he would be leaving the German side to become Borussia Monchengladbach’s new boss next season.
According to Goal, Frankfurt’s hunt for a new manager has led them to former Real Madrid and Schalke striker Raul.
The sports website believes the German club have already held initial talks with Raul about potentially taking on the role, with further meetings put on hold until the end of the season.

Why do Frankfurt want to appoint Raul as their next head coach?
While it remains to be seen whether the story will indeed play out over the next few months, there may be some reason behind this unorthodox appointment.
Following his illustrious career in Madrid and his successful spell at Schalke, there’s no doubt that the former striker enjoys an impressive profile in German football and would be an exciting appointment.
Indeed, following the club’s inability to keep a hold of Hutter, Raul could prove to be an ideal candidate to convince Frankfurt fans and the wider German football community that the club are still as ambitious as ever.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that Raul is already on track to becoming an impressive, young manager in his own right.
The young manager has already cut his teeth among Real Madrid’s youth sides, where he enjoyed notable success in the UEFA Youth League with the club’s U-15 side.
Since then Raul has moved on to coaching Madrid’s famed B team, Castilla, and is now in the process of trying to get the team promoted to the Spanish second tier this season.
However, it remains to be seen if the Spaniard’s international profile and work in youth football will be enough to convince Frankfurt to make him their next head coach.
