Neymar’s sister, Rafaella Santos, has announced that she will do everything in her power to breakdown the PSG attacker’s potential transfer to Manchester United.

The forward’s future is uncertain, with the Ligue 1 champions seeking a solution that will get him off their books, despite him holding a contract that runs until 2027.

PSG do not feel they are getting value for money on a player who has been regularly injured and has drawn controversy with his off-field activities, the latest of which saw him go to the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix instead of celebrating the title with his teammates.

Man Utd have been touted as a possible exit route for the 31-year-old, with the Old Trafford side seen as a club that both has the need for the player and an ability to absorb his wage – and potentially a transfer fee.

Chelsea are seen as another possible solution in the Premier League, but it is Erik ten Hag’s men who are the standout front runners.

Neymar to Botofogo?

Rafaella Santos, though, has other plans for her brother – with the influencer aiming to talk him into a move back to Brazil with Botafogo.

“I can try to get Neymar to sign with Botafogo,” she told Canal do TF, via Glodoespote, in a light-hearted way. “I can try very hard. It would bring huge happiness to me and for all the fans of Botafogo. I’ll try and have this talk calmly with him. I’m very strong, right!?”

There are obvious problems Rafaella’s plans. Although she has a strong bond with Neymar, he could not earn anything like the money he does in Europe with the Brazilian side, while he also has a strong affinity to Santos, where he grew up and made his professional debut before embarking on a career that has seen him play for Barcelona and PSG.

Could Man Utd be next? Rafaella Santos can try as hard as she wishes, but she will not be the one to block the deal.
