Jurgen Klopp will consider moving on from Liverpool at the end of this season unless the Reds enjoy a successful campaign and his targets are met in the transfer window.

We are told that the German coach has privately admitted that he thinks he’s taken the squad as far as he can, while he has become frustrated at the lack of investment from FSG this summer.

Liverpool opted not to make a move for Jude Bellingham given the price despite an extensive and widely-publicised saga. They decided not to make a move and instead diversify the budget for the England international into several targets.

FRUSTRATION: Liverpool legend criticises club's pursuit of top transfer target

Having successfully brought in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, their pursuit of Romeo Lavia has continued to drag on, with Liverpool having seen multiple bids fall short of Southampton's £50 million valuation of their star man.

Liverpool have unexpectedly seen Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keïta, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabio Carvalho leave this window, meaning that, much to Klopp’s despair, the club are heading into the new season without an out-and-out No.6.

Klopp's summer window pain

Fans consider Klopp to be one of the biggest factors in their success over the past eight years, but the lack of silverware and missing out on a Champions League spot last campaign means Klopp is having serious doubts about his time with the club and whether he sees a future with them.

Klopp signed a two-year extension at Liverpool last year, tying him down to the club until 2026, however he has been linked with the job of the Germany national team as well as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

We understand that Liverpool are working hard to ensure that their targets are brought into the fold as quickly as possible but have faced issues around inflated prices for a number of their targets.

Klopp is still hoping to bring in a midfielder and a defender before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, while an approach from Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah has been instantly dismissed by Liverpool.
