Norwich City have made a reputation in recent years as a club which brings through and develops young talent before selling them on and Max Aarons is the next one expected to make a huge move.

James Maddison, Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis and Emi Buendía are all examples of players the Canaries have nurtured and brought on and the quartet have netted the club around £100 million in transfer fees, with plenty more worked into the deals in potential add-ons.

Talented academy graduate Aarons has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe and looks to have the potential to progress to the top level. So here is the lowdown on the Carrow Road starlet.

What position does Aarons play in?

Aarons is right wing-back and is always getting himself into the opposition half at the first possible opportunity.

Daniel Farke, the Carrow Road boss, has sometimes switched Aarons to the other side but there's no doubt his natural domain is on the right.

How good is Aarons?

Aarons is very talented. He has boundless energy, a great attitude and a decent ability to create chances in the opposition half. He understands the game well and is intelligent, knowing when to pass and move.

He is also an accomplished defensive player who presses well, but can also tuck in narrower if needed. He times challenges well and has fantastic pace both with the ball and without it, which can help compensate for any mistakes from him or his defensive teammates.

Which clubs are interested in Aarons?

Bayern Munich been credited with an interest in the player since the summer of 2020, and the Bavarian giants' name has been linked again a few times since.

In February of this year, they were reportedly negotiating over a transfer with Norwich but the £35m price tag seemed to deter them.

Barcelona have also been in the mix to sign the player and Manchester United have also reportedly been watching him as well as a few other Premier League clubs including Everton.

When does Aarons’ contract expire?

Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber made it a priority a couple of summers ago to tie down the club’s prize assets and Aarons was one of them. His contract runs to 2024, and he is currently reportedly earning £22,500-a-week.

Interestingly, Aarons recently changed his agent. In September, he signed with sports agency New Era Global Sports, where Rio Ferdinand is an ambassador and mentor to the company's clients. Godfrey joined the same agency before his move to Everton.
