How Juventus could ruin Chelsea's summer transfer window

Juventus could ruin Chelsea's summer transfer window by targeting both Jorginho and Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Italian giants are looking to recruit at least one midfielder, with Rodrigo Bentancur leaving for Tottenham in January and Aaron Ramsey set to depart.

And, French football agent Yvan Le Mee thinks that Jorginho and Tchouameni will be at the top of the Bianconeri's shortlist.

''Watch out for Jorginho, who can become an opportunity given the Chelsea situation,'' he told Tuttosport.

''But the best shot for Juventus would always be Tchouameni: he is a phenomenon, also for this reason Monaco will not give discounts.''

Moves for those stars could scupper the Blues' plans to revamp their playing squad ahead of next season.

Juve to ruin Chelsea's transfer window?

Chelsea face a dilemma this summer, with experienced midfielders Jorginho and N'Golo Kante entering the final year of their deals.

The pair are still operating at a high level, but it won't be long before their talents start to diminish with age - particularly Kante.

The Frenchman is known for his mobility in the centre of the pitch, but a dismal performance against Real Madrid on Tuesday perhaps indicates the start of his decline.

And, should manager Thomas Tuchel decide to let him go, Monaco's Tchouameni has been touted as the ideal replacement.

Jorginho would then stay at the west London club, offering continuity alongside Mateo Kovacic, while Tchouameni settles in.

But, if Juve were to beat Chelsea to the 22-year-old, Kante could be asked to see out his deal before leaving on a free.

This would represent poor business from a club that has been credited for its shrewdness in the transfer market over the past decade.

In the worst case scenario, Jorginho could also demand a return to Italy, with Juventus, leaving the Blues in an incredibly difficult position.

Should the 30-year-old leave, Chelsea would turn their attentions to West ham's Declan Rice, which could cost upwards of £100 million - especially if the Hammers are in the Champion League via Europa League success.
