Official: Juventus beat Inter to Bremer signing

Inter have come up short in their long pursuit of Gleison Bremer, with rivals Juventus swooping in to complete a transfer for Torino's Brazilian defender.
The Bianconeri announced the deal on Wednesday, with Bremer signing a five-year contract until 2027.
Juventus have paid €41 million up-front with up to €8m in add-ons.
Bremer, 25, has long been a top target for the Nerazzurri, who have been linked with the centre-back throughout the summer transfer window.

He even reportedly struck a verbal agreement to sign at San Siro, with Inter seeing him as a potential replacement at the back for Milan Skriniar, who has been in negotiations for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Juventus, though, were stung into action by the exit of Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich and moved with lightning speed to outbid their rivals with a superior offer for club and player.
Inter declined to up their own bid, leaving the path clear for Juve to clinch the deal.
A key signing for the Old Lady
The Turin giants are in desperate need ot reinforcement at the back.
As well as De Ligt, the Bianconeri have also lost Giorgio Chiellini this summer, as the club icon left on a free transfer for MLS and Los Angeles FC.
Federico Bernardeschi also departed to the United States, signing for Toronto FC; while Paulo Dybala declined to sign a new deal and has moved to Roma on a free transfer.
Juve have moved to strengthen further up the field with the acquisitions of Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria.
But the defence remains a priority after two consecutive fourth-place finishes in Serie A,the side shipping more goals than all of their rivals further up the table in both campaigns.
Bremer is a player with a burgeoning reputation in Italy thanks to a brilliant 2021-22 campaign with Torino.
The Brazilian was named Serie A's best defender last season as he marshalled a backline that conceded just 41 times, fewer than any other team in the division outside the top four.
He also offers plenty in the opposition box, scoring 13 times in 110 appearances for Torino since moving from Atletico Mineiro in 2018.
