Man Utd identify €50m-rated winger to rival Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu
Manchester United have identified Hoffenheim star Bazoumana Toure as a target to add depth on the wings and rival Patrick Dorgu and Amad Diallo for playing time, according to FussballDaten.
After a slow start to his Bundesliga career last season, Toure has become a key player for his club and has contributed two goals and seven assists this season.
Toure also impressed with Ivory Coast at the 2025 African Cup of Nations, scoring twice in three appearances as a substitute, including in his side’s 3-0 win over Burkina Faso in the round of 16.
Man Utd are not the only club chasing Toure’s services, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich also reportedly considering a move for the player.
Is Toure worth the rumoured fee?
Hoffenheim are said to value Toure between €50-€55 million, which is more than twice the player’s Expected Transfer Value (xTV).
Toure is currently estimated to be worth €21.8 million, which has doubled in the last 12 months since his move to Hoffenheim from Hammarby. In his lone season for the Swedish club, he scored eight goals with three assists in the Allsvenskan.
The 20-year-old winger failed to score a goal and provided three assists in his 13 appearances in the Bundesliga in 2024/25, but he has kicked on in the 2025/26 campaign.
Toure ranks tied for fifth in assists in the Bundesliga, and his seven big chances created are tied for 25th. He also plays for a club that wins the ball in its attacking third more than any other Bundesliga team, proving his ability to thrive in a high-pressing system.
At age 20, he certainly has room to grow, but the fact he has just a single season of decent production in one of the top five leagues may cause clubs to hesitate at Hoffenheim’s asking price.
Add in the fact that Man Utd already has Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Dorgu, and Amad as options who are capable of playing on the wing, and it indicates that Toure may not be the club’s top priority.
