Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Casemiro confirmation, Salah links, Kvaratskhelia latest
Fabrizio Romano says the market is moving and stories are developing everywhere as the climax of the season approaches, with top stars like Casemiro, Mohamed Salah and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia making headlines.
Casemiro confirms Manchester United exit
While there has been speculation that Man Utd might offer Casemiro a new contract, it has now been confirmed that the former Real Madrid star is on the move.
“He said these would be his final games for the club. And that’s the reality: Casemiro will leave on a free transfer this summer,” Romano told his YouTube channel.
“Now, from what I’m hearing, Manchester United didn’t approach him in recent weeks to say: please stay one more season, let’s fight for the Champions League together. No - this is a mutual agreement. It’s time to move on.
“For Casemiro, a new adventure. For United, an opportunity to save a huge salary and reinvest in at least one - possibly two - midfielders this summer.
“And already, there’s strong interest in Casemiro. There have been calls from MLS clubs, including LA Galaxy and Inter Miami. Saudi clubs remain keen - they’ve wanted him since two years ago, remember. European clubs too, although wages could be an issue.
“So, plenty of options on the table. Casemiro will take his time, talk with his agency and family, and choose not just for football reasons - but for personal ones too.”
Mo Salah: No talks over Inter Miami deal
“Speaking of Inter Miami, there’s been a lot of noise in England about Mohamed Salah possibly joining Leo Messi there,” Romano added.
“Especially after Inter Miami’s big announcement - the new Leo Messi Stand at their stadium, which is unbelievable. Imagine Messi playing in a ground with a stand named after him!
“But guys, let me clarify this very clearly: Inter Miami are not in negotiations to sign Mo Salah.
“Despite reports, despite rumours everywhere, it’s not true. Salah has not opened talks with Inter Miami.
“What’s true is that Salah will leave Liverpool as a free agent at the end of the season - technically his contract runs until 2027, but Liverpool will let him go for zero fee, as part of the mutual decision to part ways.
“So now Salah’s camp is free to speak to any club. Expect many stories - but as of today, no agreement with anyone.
“The Saudi Pro League, of course, still dream of him. They’ve been trying for two years, and this time they finally have a real shot. So keep an eye on this - big moves will come, but not from Inter Miami yet.”
Kvaratskhelia to Arsenal?
Romano also addressed speculation linking PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a shock move to Arsenal.
“He’s captaining Georgia, performing brilliantly, and doing a fantastic job at Paris Saint‑Germain. Honestly, maybe even underrated because sometimes people forget just how consistent he’s been for PSG,” Romano said.
“There have been rumours again about Arsenal being interested. But my understanding is crystal clear: PSG have no intention to open talks for Kvaratskhelia this summer.
“They love him - his attitude, professionalism, consistency. And remember, he joined from Napoli only 14 months ago, in January 2025. So PSG want to enjoy him much longer.
“Of course, Arsenal are expected to strengthen up front - maybe a striker, maybe a winger - but not Kvaratskhelia. Nothing concrete between Arsenal and PSG on this one.”
Barcelona made Bale and Cancelo calls
Romano also delivered a quick round-up on the goings on at Barcelona, where there is huge transfer speculation ahead of the summer window.
“Barcelona are not putting Alejandro Balde on the market. He’s still an important part of their project,” he said.
“However - and this is key - if a big proposal arrives from a Premier League club, they could consider it. Financially it would be a huge sale for the books, given he’s a homegrown player. But for now: no active plans to sell Balde.
“Secondly, the subject of Joao Cancelo. He’s on loan from Al Hilal, and what a loan it’s been. Fantastic impact - playing right, left, everywhere - assists, leadership, everything.
“Barcelona are super happy. They’ve already started discussions with his agent, Jorge Mendes, about how to keep him for next season.
“There’s no final formula yet - it could be another loan, a reduced buy‑option, we’ll see. But both sides want the same thing: Cancelo to stay at Barca. And Cancelo himself doesn’t want to return to Al Hilal - that’s clear.”
